MANSFIELD, Pa. --- Senior forward
Megan Smith (Blain, Pa./West Perry) reached a career milestone of 1,000 points as the Crimson Hawks remain undefeated with a 74-48 win over Mansfield Saturday afternoon.

Smith scored a career-high 29 points, going 9-of-18 from the field, 5-of-9 from 3-point range and 6-of-7 from the foul line. Smith added three blocks and four steals during her 33 minutes of play.

She was one of three Crimson Hawks in double-figures, with junior guard
Carolyn Appleby (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg Central Catholic) and junior forward
Brittany Robinson (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin East) each posting 10 points. Appleby went 4-of-12 from the field with five assists, while Robinson went 4-of-8 from the field and totaled eight rebounds.

The Crimson Hawks led most of the game, outshooting the Mountaineers 42 percent to 31 percent and outrebounded them 46-36.

With the victory, IUP remains undefeated with an overall record of 9-0. They are currently tied with Edinboro for first in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West. Â Â
