Crimson Hawks outlasted by Slippery Rock in 1-0 women’s soccer road loss

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – In a defensive struggle, IUP women's soccer dropped a 1-0 decision at Slippery Rock on Wednesday night. Both teams combined for just eight shots on the evening, with just three total shots credited on goal.

The lone score came from The Rock in the 59th minute, the first shot on goal for either team.

The Crimson Hawks (2-2, 1-2 PSAC) had two chances to tie things up late in the match, but a header from Cassidy LeDonne and a shot by Carley Donia were both stopped by SRU goalie Kylie Downs to keep IUP scoreless.

It marked the third game decided by one goal for the Crimson Hawks this season, with both of their losses coming by only one score.
