SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – In a defensive struggle, IUP women's soccer dropped a 1-0 decision at Slippery Rock on Wednesday night. Both teams combined for just eight shots on the evening, with just three total shots credited on goal.
The lone score came from The Rock in the 59th minute, the first shot on goal for either team.
The Crimson Hawks (2-2, 1-2 PSAC) had two chances to tie things up late in the match, but a header from
Cassidy LeDonne and a shot by
Carley Donia were both stopped by SRU goalie Kylie Downs to keep IUP scoreless.
It marked the third game decided by one goal for the Crimson Hawks this season, with both of their losses coming by only one score.

IUP will get a chance to bounce back this Saturday with a home match against Shippensburg (1-1-1, 1-1 PSAC). Kickoff is slated for 1:30 p.m. at South Campus Field.
