INDIANA, Pa. – The IUP men's and women's swimming teams won a combined for 14 event wins as the Crimson Hawks swept both sides of a dual meet with conference foe Edinboro Friday night at the Pidgeon Natatorium.
The women had six individual wins plus two relay victories to post a 133-71 decision. The men's score was 114.5-80.5, getting five individual wins and one relay win.
Freshman
Paige Mikesell posted a pair of individual victories in the 100 and 200 yard freestyle and swam the third leg on the winning 200 yard medley relay. Junior
Jessica Cochran also totaled three victories, including an individual win in the 200 yard backstroke and relays wins in the 200 yard medley and 200 yard freestyle. The women also had 13 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifying times.
On the men's side, freshman
Owen Martin posted wins in the 200 yard IM and 500 yard freestyle, and swam the anchor leg of the winning 200 yard freestyle relay. Classmate
Jackson Woolard was also a multiple winner, swimming the second leg on that same relay while also taking home top honors in the 200 yard backstroke.
