WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Freshman
Renee Lauer scored the Crimson Hawks' lone goal in a 5-1 loss at top-ranked West Chester Saturday afternoon.
Lauer's second goal of the season cut the Golden Rams' lead in half at 2-1 just moments before the end of the first half and came off a rebound from her own shot.
Senior goalie
Olivia Accardi finished with 13 saves as IUP dropped its seventh straight game and finished the season with a 3-14 overall record and a 2-8 mark in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC).
Accardi had to deal with a West Chester team that outshot the Crimson Hawks 26-3, tallying 18 shots on goal. The Golden Rams (15-2, 9-1 PSAC) had 14 of those shots in the second half as they scored three goals, adding onto their narrow halftime advantage.
