INDIANA, Pa. — IUP Athletics will host Make-A-Wish Night, with a surprise wish reveal, at the IUP women's and men's basketball games, Saturday, Feb. 17 at the Kovalchick Complex.
In honor of Make-A-Wish night, IUP Athletics will host the surprise wish reveal for 4-year-old Dane and recognize Saralynn Parkin, 16. The recognition of Saralynn will take place during halftime of the women's game, with the surprise wish reveal for Dane taking place during halftime of men's game.
Dane, of Punxsutawney, will receive his wish to visit the Walt Disney World Resort on behalf of Make-A-Wish* Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Dane is receiving his wish after being diagnosed with leukemia.
Saralynn, of Homer City, was born with a heart defect. She received a hot tub from Make-A-Wish to enjoy with her closest friends.
The Crimson Hawks will face off against the California University Vulcans, Saturday, Feb. 17. Tipoff for the women's game will be at 5:30 p.m., with the men's game to follow at 7:30 p.m. Throughout the night players from the national semifinalist IUP football team will be collecting donations for Make-A-Wish.

The NCAA Division II has been a proud sponsor of Make-A-Wish since 2003, raising more than 5 million dollars for children with critical illnesses. Throughout the evening, attendees will have the opportunity to contribute to this effort and help make wishes come true.
