INDIANA, Pa. –
Adriana Greco (Sound Beach, N.Y./Rocky Point) scored six goals and the 17th-ranked IUP women's lacrosse team rallied from a second half deficit to defeat upset-minded Kutztown 15-12 Saturday afternoon at George P. Miller Stadium.
The Crimson Hawks trailed 10-8 midway through the second half and 12-10 with eight minutes left before scoring five straight goals over a 5:04 span to clinch the comeback win.
It was Greco's second straight six-goal game and now has a team-leading 20 goals on the season. She also dished out two assists to finish with a season-high eight points.
Ally Burrows (Marcellus, N.Y./Marcellus) added six points on four goals and two assists.
IUP improved to 4-0 with the win to remain one of three undefeated Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) teams. The game was the conference opener for both IUP and Kutztown (3-3).
The Crimson Hawks dominated possession by securing 20 draw controls compared to Kutztown's nine. IUP owned a 12-5 second half advantage off the draw, collecting six of the last seven during its comeback.
Katie Martyn (Annapolis, Md./Archbishop Spalding) posted a season-best 12 draw controls.
IUP was forced to overcome 24 called fouls, including four second half cards. Kutztown was called for just 11 fouls.
Richmond hits milestone
The win gave IUP head coach
Mindy Richmond 100 for her career. Already the program's greatest coach, she now has an overall record of 100-61 (.621) in her 10th season at the helm.

The Crimson Hawks have their first big road test Tuesday at Mercyhurst (2-2, 1-0) in Erie. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
