INDIANA, Pa. – The IUP softball program celebrated Senior Day Saturday, but dropped a pair of games to division-leading Lock Haven by scores of 6-3 and 6-1 at Ruth Podbielski Field.

Bryanna Lonick, and
Amanda Parrish were honored in between games.
The losses ended the Crimson Hawks' six-game win streak as they fell to 14-12 overall and 8-6 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC). Lock Haven improved to 28-10 overall and 16-0 in the division.
Lonick,
Kaitlyn Beers, and
Kassie Kesneck combined for six of the Crimson Hawks' nine hits on the afternoon.
Megan Little drove in two runs on a two-out double in the fourth inning of game one. It was part of a three run inning for the Crimson Hawks as they cut Lock Haven's lead in half.
Lauren Zola went the distance in the opener, with two of her six runs allowed counting as earned. IUP committed three errors in the game.
In game two, the Crimson Hawks made it a 3-1 ballgame with an RBI single by Lonick in the sixth. Lock Haven then added three insurance runs in the top of the seventh to come away with the 6-1 win.

The NCAA will release its 48-team Division II Championship field Tuesday, April 24. The Crimson Hawks entered the weekend ranked No. 1 in the Atlantic Region heading into the weekend.
