2017-18 Crimson & Gray Awards
Bullock tied a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) and IUP record with six rushing touchdowns in helping the fourth-ranked Crimson Hawks to a 57-14 win at Seton Hill on September 30. He finished with 263 yards on 31 carries, averaging 8.5 yards per carry.
And he did all of this in just a little over two quarters of work.
Bullock scored IUP's first six touchdowns on the day, with three of those coming in the second quarter. Nine of his runs were 10-plus yards, including three of more than 20 yards. He exited the game after IUP took a 43-14 lead with 10:55 still remaining in the third quarter.
His 263 rushing yards is the fourth most in single game IUP history, and his six rushing scores tied Shippensburg's John Kuhn and current IUP back
Chris Temple for the conference record.
Bullock earned PSAC West Offensive Athlete of the Week honors for his career performance.
About the Performance of the Year Award
The IUP Performance of the Year is given each year to the student-athletes who had the most significant or extraordinary performance in a single game, event, or outing. The Performance of the Year Award began in 2017 with the creation of the Crimson & Gray Awards.
About the Crimson & Gray Awards
The Crimson & Gray Awards are in their second year of existence and consist of 18 total categories - nine women, nine men - with top performers and performances from the 2017-18 year eligible.
Continuing from their inaugural year, awards include: Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Coach of the Year, Performance of the Year, Freshman of the Year, Breakthrough Athlete of the Year, Postseason Performer of the Year, Senior of the Year, Team of the Year and Athlete of the Year.
The IUP Sports Information Office collected award nominations from its coaches, with those nominees voted on by a select panel to narrow each category down to three finalists. That panel votes again to determine the winners.
