BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Coming off a dramatic road win in the opener, IUP women's soccer couldn't keep the momentum as the Crimson Hawks fell to Bloomsburg 2-0 Saturday afternoon.
Bloomsburg (2-0, 2-0) outshot the Crimson Hawks 11-8 and limited IUP to just two shots on goal. Both of those came off the foot of
Kallie Conte.
The Huskies opened the scoring in the 34th minute off a corner kick. It was just their second shot on goal of the match.
IUP had a couple of chances at the net in the final minutes of the first half, but shots by
Carley Donia and
Hannah Stoof were denied.
Bloomsburg outshot IUP 9-4 in the second half. The Huskies added to their lead in the 88th minute, with a converted penalty kick making it 2-0.

The Crimson Hawks (1-1, 1-1) remain on the road and head to Glenville State in West Virginia for their only non-conference match of the season Monday afternoon.
