IUP Women’s Soccer drops road conference match at Bloomsburg

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Coming off a dramatic road win in the opener, IUP women's soccer couldn't keep the momentum as the Crimson Hawks fell to Bloomsburg 2-0 Saturday afternoon.

Bloomsburg (2-0, 2-0) outshot the Crimson Hawks 11-8 and limited IUP to just two shots on goal. Both of those came off the foot of Kallie Conte.

The Huskies opened the scoring in the 34th minute off a corner kick. It was just their second shot on goal of the match.

IUP had a couple of chances at the net in the final minutes of the first half, but shots by Carley Donia and Hannah Stoof were denied.

Bloomsburg outshot IUP 9-4 in the second half. The Huskies added to their lead in the 88th minute, with a converted penalty kick making it 2-0.
