INDIANA, Pa. – Despite a .500 hitting percentage and five total blocks from sophomore
Jasmine Raudys, the IUP women's volleyball team came out on the wrong end of a three-set decision Friday night at the Memorial Field House.
Raudys finished with a season-high nine kills with just one error on 16 total attacks. With her five block assists, she also hit a season-high with 11.5 total points.
All three sets were tightly contested with Mercyhurst winning by scores of 25-22, 25-23 and 25-21.
The first two sets of the night saw a combined 17 ties and six lead changes as neither team was able to grab a lead of more than three at any point during that time.
The largest lead in the match came in the final set when Mercyhurst (8-10, 3-2 PSAC) went on top 16-10. IUP came back with a 6-2 run but the closest the Crimson Hawks came the rest of the way was 20-18 after a kill by freshman
Lexi Hraga.
Junior
Jessica Ignace led the Crimson Hawks with 10 kills and sophomore
Dominica Niccolai dished out 31 assists. Along with Raudys, freshman
Kylie Osborn also had five block assists to help the Crimson Hawks finish with 7.0 total blocks.
Senior
Jess Marut had 23 digs, the second time this year she's posted at least 20 digs in a three-set match.

The Crimson Hawks (6-12, 2-3 PSAC) wrap up their home weekend against Gannon (15-1, 4-1 PSAC) Saturday afternoon at the Memorial Field House. Match time is 1 p.m.
