INDIANA, Pa. – The IUP Athletic Department released 12 more names from its IUP Football 150 List Thursday afternoon. The list was created and announced before the 2019 season to commemorate the year-long celebration of college football's 150th anniversary.
The 12 names this week brings the total revealed to 87. Just 63 names are left to be released over the remaining five weeks of the regular season. This week's names are:
Deandre Easterling, defensive line
Troy Jackson, linebacker
Mike Jemison, running back
Leander Jordan, offensive line
Chuck Klausing, coach
Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, defensive back
John Palchak, offensive line
Mark Plevelich, offensive line
Tom Rogish, linebacker
Dave Smith, end
Tink Stennett, running back
Roger Wilson, defensive line
The list was put together by a group of local Indiana media members as well as former and current IUP coaches. It is not meant to represent an "all-time team" but to honor individuals who have contributed to the tremendous success of IUP football.
Each week throughout the 2019 regular season, IUP will release a random selection of that list.
Although not directly connected, this announcement comes after the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) released its CFB 150 at the league's football media day in August. IUP had nine individuals honored by the conference.
About the CFB 150
