GREENSBURG, Pa. –
Brianna Lubarsky scored twice in the second half and the IUP defense allowed just one shot as the Crimson Hawks posted a 3-0 win at Seton Hill Wednesday night.
The goals for Lubarsky were her team-leading seventh and eighth of the season helping the Crimson Hawks improve to 7-6 on the year and 3-3 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC).
With the win IUP moved into sixth place in the PSAC standings, jumping ahead of Millersville (10-2, 2-2) for the final playoff spot with four league games left on the schedule.
After a scoreless opening half, Lubarsky scored off a rebound from a Georgianna Chiavacci shot in the 38th minute. Lubarsky gave IUP a 2-0 lead five minutes later with Chiavacci's second assist of the night.
The Crimson Hawks added an early fourth quarter insurance goal by
Lizzi Clemmer, her third of the season, off a pass from
Emma Wilhelm.
Goalie
Lexi Ciano earned her fourth shutout of the season, stopping the only shot from Seton Hill (1-9, 0-5) with six minutes to play in the game.
It was the fourth time this year IUP has allowed one shot or less to an opponent.

The Crimson Hawks go for three straight Saturday when they host top-ranked and undefeated West Chester on Senior Day. Game time is set for 1 p.m. at Miller Stadium.
