WEEKLY NOTES

IUP Field Hockey hosts Lindenwood, travels to nationally-ranked Shippensburg this week
The IUP field hockey team (7-7, 3-4 PSAC) will take a short break from its PSAC scheduled with a non-conference home game against Lindenwood Thursday night before a huge road matchup at Shippensburg Saturday afternoon. With two weeks left to play the Crimson Hawks are on the edge of a postseason berth and come off a split week with a 3-0 win at Seton Hill and 3-0 loss to No. 1 West Chester. This is the first of two games against PSAC opponents this weekend for Lindenwood, who lost to Mansfield 3-1 earlier this season. Shippensburg is coming off a 7-0 win at Mercyhurst Saturday and will host Seton Hill Tuesday night.

QUICK HITS
>> The Crimson Hawks are currently seventh in the PSAC standings with a 3-4 league record. Millersville holds the sixth and final playoff spot with a 3-3 PSAC record and owns the tiebreaker with a IUP with a 1-0 win earlier this season.
>> After Shippensburg, IUP's remaining conference schedule includes a home game against Mercyhurst (3-10, 1-5) and road game at No. 7 Kutztown (9-4, 4-2), both next week.
>> Millersville has four more PSAC games on its schedule, including Bloomsburg (4-10, 1-5), at Mansfield (10-4, 4-2), at East Stroudsburg (14-1, 7-0), and home to Seton Hill (1-10, 0-6).
>> Thursday will be IUP's third-ever matchup with Lindenwood as the team's have split the series at 1-1. The Crimson Hawks won 2-1 at home in 2014 and lost 3-1 on the road in 2017.
>> Senior forward Brianna Lubarsky has accounted for three of IUP's last five goals, including a pair in the 3-0 win at Seton Hill on Oct. 16. She's accounted for nearly half of the team's scoring this year with eight goals and is tied for fourth in the PSAC with four game-winners.
