INDIANA, Pa. – The Crimson Hawks came out on the wrong end of a non-conference doubleheader with visiting Walsh Tuesday afternoon, losing by scores of 10-6 and 15-1 at Dougherty Field.
Nick Hess went 3-7 with three runs batted in to pace the IUP offense.
Alex Thornberry,
Markus Cestra and
Matt Swartz each collected two hits and
Ben Teplin drove in a pair of runs.
The losses dropped the Crimson Hawks to 7-16 overall on the year.
IUP's big inning came in the first inning of game one, plating five runs to take a 5-1 lead.
It took just three batters to load the bases, with

Teplin and Thornberry each drove in runs as IUP finished with five hits in the inning.
Walsh responded with three runs in the second and one in the third before putting up five more in the sixth. IUP added one more in the seventh by taking advantage of a Walsh 2-out error.
In game two, Walsh had a 7-run third inning and followed with three runs in the fifth and five in the sixth.
Tyler Adams drove in IUP's lone run in the sixth on an infield groundout.
