QUICK HITS
>> This is the second straight year that the Crimson Hawks open the season with strong competition at a tournament in a tropical state. Last year IUP played in Cal State San Marcos' Cougar Classic which featured #6 Lewis and #8 Nebraska-Kearney.
>> IUP returns three of last year's scoring leaders in Sr.
Jessica Ignace, So.
Kylie Osborn and Jr.
Jasmine Raudys. The three players finished with 283.5, 252, and 177.5 points, respectively.
>> Ignace led the team with 2.41 kills per set and was third with 54 total blocks. She had 11 double-figure kill matches, including a season-best 15 against Lock Haven and Clarion.Â
>> Osborn was the only freshman to see action in all 31 matches and finished second on the team with 208 kills and 63 total blocks.Â
>> The Crimson Hawks were picked to finish fourth in the PSAC Southwest Division when the league announced its preseason coaches' polls two weeks ago.Â
