INDIANA, Pa. – Sophomore
Chloe Borland scored five points and had five draw controls but an overwhelming Millersville offense was too much as the IUP women's lacrosse team fell 20-10 Sunday afternoon.
Borland had two goals and assisted on three more as IUP fell to 1-1 on the young season.
The Crimson Hawks were outshot by Millersville 38-22 while the Marauders held possession for most of the game with 21 of the 32 draw controls.
With IUP trailing just 4-3 early, Millersville (2-0) scored six straight goals and then ended the half on a 4-1 run to take a 14-5 lead at the break. The Crimson Hawks used second half momentum to bring their deficit back to just six at 15-9 with 15 minutes to go, but Millersville responded with five straight scores to end the threat.

Jordan Kulp scored a team-high three goals and finished with four points. Junior
Kayte Zeiler and sophomore
Leah Hunter each had two goals. Sophomore
Carly Mansur and junior
Lauren Piecknick split time in goal, combining for 14 saves.
