LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - IUP junior
Duane Brown was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West Special Teams Athlete of the Week, announced by the league office Monday morning.
In Saturday's 58-21 win at Clarion on Saturday, Brown had 75 yards on three punt returns, including a career-long 62-yarder. That return came in the second quarter and set up his own 14-yard touchdown reception to give IUP a 30-7 lead at the time.
Brown totaled 212 yards and that score on nine touches, adding 137 yards on six receptions.
The 212 all-purpose yards are the most by an IUP player since running back Samir Bullock had 217 in the 2017 season-opening win over Ashland.
This was Brown's third career PSAC player of the week honor. He earned top offensive honors twice during the 2019 season.
