IUP Football Prospect Camps Continue Throughout June

INDIANA, Pa. — More than 150 student-athletes and over 20 coaches gathered at Miller Stadium on Saturday for the first of three IUP Football Prospect Camps, giving high school players an opportunity to showcase their skills in front of the Crimson Hawks coaching staff.

The camp proved productive for both the coaches and participants, with IUP extending more than 15 scholarship offers during the event.

Prospects who were unable to attend the first session will still have two opportunities to participate. The next prospect camp is scheduled for Sunday, June 7, while the third and final camp will take place under the lights at Miller Stadium on Wednesday, June 17.

Designed for student-athletes entering grades 9-12, the camps provide players with instruction from IUP coaches and current student-athletes while allowing them to compete in position-specific drills and skill evaluations. The camps serve as an opportunity for participants to gain exposure and potentially earn interest from collegiate programs.

In addition to the prospect camps, IUP will host its youth football camps from June 15-17. Open to students in grades 1-6, the camps feature football instruction, lunch at North Dining Hall and an optional swimming session following camp activities. Athletes may attend individual days for $60 or all three days for $180.

The Crimson Hawks will also host a Quarterback and Wide Receiver Passing Camp on July 14 at Miller Stadium. The one-day event will run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and is open to student-athletes entering grades 9-12.

Registration remains open for all upcoming camps, though space is limited. The camps provide players with an opportunity to develop their skills, receive instruction from collegiate coaches and gain valuable exposure during the recruiting process.
