VILLANOVA, Pa. - The IUP women's basketball team made its return to the court Saturday night as the Crimson Hawks lost to Villanova 93-44 in an exhibition matchup.
Senior guard
Justina Mascaro had team-highs of 14 points and six rebounds, with seven of those points came in the fourth quarter.
Villanova, which went 17-7 last year, including 9-4 in the Big East, outshot the Hawks 51.4-31.3 percent from the floor for the game. Nova's duo of Maddy Siegrist and Lior Garzon combined for 49 points and shot 52.6 percent from the field.
Twelve Crimson Hawks saw the floor as the program returned to its first meaningful action since March 2020.

The Crimson Hawks have one more exhibition scheduled for the preseason as they'll travel to face Dayton Friday night, November 5.
