INDIANA, Pa. - The IUP baseball team lost both ends of a non-conference doubleheader to visiting Frostburg State Saturday afternoon at Dougherty Field.

The Crimson Hawks lost by scores of 10-8 and 20-3 to fall to 1-5 on the season. Frostburg State improved to 2-4. 

In game one, the Bobcats scored in each of the first four innings and added valuable insurance runs in the seventh to go on top 10-1. 

IUP put together a huge rally in the bottom half, starting with an RBI single by Nick Hess with one out. The Hawks then scored on two bases bases loaded walks, a Frostburg error, and singles by Austin Vigliotti and Ty Diehl. Then, with the go-ahead run at first, a ground ball double play ended the threat.

In game two, Frostburg State had nine extra base hits and scored in five of the first six innings to dominate from start to finish.

The Crimson Hawks return to the diamond Tuesday with a non-conference doubleheader against Mount Aloysius at Dougherty Field.
