Big offense leads Crimson Hawks to win at Seton Hill

GREENSBURG, Pa. - Georgiana Chiavacci was key to IUP's big offensive output Thursday night as the Crimson Hawks took down Seton Hill 4-1 to remain undefeated on the season.

Chiavacci assisted on three of IUP's four scores as the Crimson Hawks boasted a balanced attack with a goal in each quarter. IUP outshot Seton Hill 23-6, including a +10 advantage in the second half. The Crimson Hawks also had 13 penalty corners compared to SHU's two.

Shelby Harnish was a big benefactor of Chiavacci's passing, tallying two of IUP's four goals. Also scoring was Rory Cahill and Blaise Cugini. Amanda Turner also tallied an assist.

The Crimson Hawks were seeing their first action in nearly 10 days and improved to 3-0 on the season. It's the second straight year, and third time since 2011, that IUP has opened a season with three straight victories.
