Late score by Theoricht lifts Hawks over Seton Hill

GREENSBURG, Pa. – The Crimson Hawks found themselves at a standstill for nearly eighty minutes in Wednesday night's match with Seton Hill. It was not until a late score from sophomore Cloe Theoricht in the 79th minute that lifted the Hawks over the Griffins 1-0. The assist came from sophomore forward Hannah Scardina assisted the goal.

IUP goalie Samantha Gildner kept 11 shots from reaching the back of the net, including a save in the 84th minute that preserved the victory. In the second half of the competition, Gildner fended off three shots in just under two and a half minutes. It was her third shutout of the season. She also leads the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) in save percentage (.896), saves per game (8.57), and total shutouts (3).

Amidst the win, the Hawks improve to a 4-2-1 overall record, sitting fourth in the PSAC West.

Samantha Nemeth and Scardina also accounted for shots on goal.
