Crimson Hawks victorious in season opener

INDIANA, Pa. - Goals from senior forward Mahogany Willis and junior forward Camila Gonzalez-Toledo lifted the Crimson Hawks to a 2-0 victory over West Virginia Wesleyan on Sunday afternoon at South Campus Field.

Willis found the back of the net off a pass from sophomore forward Hannah Scardina in the fourth minute of the game, and assisted Gonzalez-Toledo less than ten minutes later. Her score was the 30th in her 38th career game.

IUP goalie Samantha Gildner held strong in front of the net, fending off 15 shots from West Virginia Wesleyan with 12 saves in her first career start.
