IUP comes up short in Erie

ERIE, Pa.- The IUP women's soccer team fell short this evening in Erie where they took on the 7-2-2 Gannon Knights.

Gannon started off strong with a goal at the 6:12 mark in the game. The IUP defense was able to hold off the Knights until late in the second half where they scored again at the 56:36 mark. With no scoring coming from IUP, Gannon took advantage and grabbed the win.

Samantha Gildner had 4 saves on the evening.

This loss for the Crimson Hawks moves their record to 2-3-4.

Here is what head coach Noreen Herlihy had to say on the evening:
"Overall, we improved greatly from our last performance but Gannon just had that bit of quality when it mattered in those key moments. But we played well, so lots of positives to take from the game".
