INDIANA, Pa. - The IUP women's lacrosse team ran its win streak to five games as the Crimson Hawks defeated visiting Shippensburg 15-7 Wednesday afternoon at Miller Stadium.
IUP improved to 7-2 overall with the cross-divisional victory while the Raiders fell to 2-7.

How it happened
The Hawks took a few minutes to work into the flow of the game as the Raiders opened the scoring at the 12:43 mark of the first quarter. Jimenez put IUP on the board 1:30 later with her first of three goals with started a 7-0 run as the Hawks took control. Kulp assisted on four of those goals while Hunter scored a pair.
The scoring slowed down from there with the Hawks adding one more in the first quarter and two in the second to take a 10-3 lead at halftime. Ship managed the only goal scored in the third.
The Raiders scored to open the fourth quarter, cutting iUP's lead to 10-5 with more than 13 minutes to play. The Hawks shut down any thought of a comeback attempt, rattling off four straight goals by four different players to open the lead back to eight as they cruised to the win.
