FROSTBURG, Md. – Seventh-ranked IUP field hockey surrendered a pair of fourth-quarter goals in a 3-0 setback to Frostburg State in a rescheduled matchup on Wednesday at Bobcat Stadium.
 
IUP (4-2) fell behind with under two minutes remaining in the first quarter and could not recover. Frostburg State (5-3) added a pair of goals within the opening 10 minutes of the fourth quarter before preserving the shutout.
 
Amanda Zaner made one save through the opening quarter before 
Brooke Eberly played the final 45 minutes in goal for the Crimson Hawks. IUP had five shots, all from different players, placing three on target.

Olivia Reichley all registered chances for IUP, which generated just one shot following the first quarter.
 
FSU opened the scoring with Macy Layfield finishing a chance from Olivia Wenzel at 13:18 in the first. Play slowed over the second period before Frostburg State pressed to double its advantage in the third.
 
Rory Cahill turned aside a Frostburg chance with a defensive save at 41:46. In the fourth, Rachel Rallo and Olivia Wenzel added goals for a 3-0 advantage. 
Olivia Reichley sent a scoring chance following a penalty corner for IUP, marking one of the best scoring looks of the second half.
 
Frostburg held a 7-5 edge in penalty corners on the day.
