Box Score INDIANA, Pa.- On Friday, the IUP Field Hockey team led by new head coach Kelly Terwilliger beat the Wingate Bulldog's 3-0 at Miller Stadium in the Crimson Hawks home debut. 

Three freshman hawks were involved in the scoring department on Friday, bringing forward a bright future for this team:

Senior, Blaise Cugini started the game off strong in the first quarter with a goal assisted by freshman, Cara Betancourt. Cugini was returning off of injury, and made her impact known early in the match off of her previous absence. 

Freshman, Jessica Davidson got her turn to show off her offensive capabilities in the second quarter with a goal assisted by senior, Paeton Hartmann. 

Freshman, Roos van Herel closed out the game strongly in the fourth quarter with a goal assisted by junior, Shelby Harnish. 

Starting off the season 1-0 with many young athletes stepping up finalize a shutout, this is what head coach Kelly Terwilliger had to say: 
"I thought it was a very successful season opener for the Crimson Hawks. It's fun to host on our home field and the crowd was great. I liked the way we scored goals and I liked that we earned our first shutout of the season. I'm proud of the team. I think we will continue to grow, and everybody is working hard."
