INDIANA, Pa. – Following the conclusion of the 2022-23 basketball regular season on Saturday, both IUP programs have advanced to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament and will host postseason matchups this week at the KCAC.
The women's team, which finished 18-9 overall and 13-9 in conference play, earned the four seed in the upcoming conference tournament. The Crimson Hawks face Pitt-Johnstown, the five seed in the PSAC West, on Monday, February 27 at 7:00 p.m.
The men's program, which concluded the best regular season in program history at 27-1 overall, enters the conference tournament as the top seed in the PSAC West. IUP earned a bye in the conference tournament, returning to action on Wednesday, March 1 for the PSAC Quarterfinals. Tipoff from the KCAC is set for 7:00 p.m.
IUP men's basketball faces the winner of the 4/5 matchup in the PSAC West between California (Pa.) and Seton Hill. The first round matchup between the Vulcans and Griffins takes place on Monday night.
Tickets for the conference tournament games go on sale on Monday, February 27 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Commonwealth Bank Box Office at the KCAC. Adult tickets are $12, children (K-12) are $7, and PSAC students will receive free admission with a valid ID.
