EDINBORO, Pa. – IUP women's tennis clinched a 4-0 victory on Thursday in conference action against Edinboro, cruising to the program's third consecutive win.
IUP (4-8) locked up the doubles point with
Katy Graydon and
Karolin Kirchtag combining for a 6-0 victory before
Joanna Stralka and
Natalie Kmoskova added a 6-1 victory in the second doubles flight.
With a 1-0 lead heading into singles action, Kirchtag rolled to a 6-0, 6-2 victory against Rafaella de Almeida. Kmoskova held on for a three-set 6-0, 4-6, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles against Cecillia Carayol.
Stralka clinched the match for IUP with a 6-0, 6-1win at the No. 3 spot against Mariana Zoettle. The remaining matches went unfinished as both teams played to clinch in the rescheduled conference matchup.
