ERIE, Pa. – The Indiana University of Pennsylvania softball program ran its winning streak to five in-a-row on Monday afternoon, racking up 29 hits to take down the Lakers, 9-6 and 8-5.

Delaney Patella, fresh off her PSAC Athlete of the Week honor, essentially had the perfect day at the dish as Mercyhurst did not retire her one time over nine trips into the batter's box, going 7-for-7 on all singles, with three RBIs, a pair of walks, and a run scored thrown into the mix.

Jordan Sylvia was a "distant" second with five hits but did crank a two-run home run plus a score in each game.

Lexi Dawson drove home three of the Crimson Hawks' nine runs in the first tilt, lacing a two-RBI double and coaxing a bases loaded walk.

Jaycee Haidze and Paige Truax both brought home a pair of ladies as both doubled in the second contest while Truax added a steal as well.

PSAC Pitcher of the Week Tori Long (5-2) and Amanda Fischer (2-2) were the pitchers of record while Elizabeth Kasper did a fine job in long relief duty of five frames with three Ks and three runs given up to keep the lead intact.

The ladies from Indiana (PA) will try to keep the party going on Tuesday against Clarion at 2 and 4 p.m. on the friendly turf of Ruth Podbielski Field.
