Baseball Struggles To Score at Seton Hill

Brian Baublitz Jr.

GREENSBURG, Pa. – The Indiana University of Pennsylvania baseball program laced 16 hits, but only plated three runs in a pair of losses, 5-1 and 7-2.

Harrison Pontoli had the Crimson Hawks' only extra-base hit, a double in game two, notching three hits total plus an RBIand a walk.

Torrey Roper and Andrew Sicinski had the other two ribbies of the doubleheader while Davin Landwes tied Pontoli for the base hit crown with three singles on top of scoring once.

Jeremiah Williams went the distance in game one, tossing six innings of three earned runs allowed and five total, striking out four Griffins and walking none.

Mark Edeburn finally had a bad game as the IUP ace dropped his first decision in his eighth appearance of the year still whiffing a season-best six Seton Hill batters.

The Crimson and White will attempt to enact revenge on SHU at 1 and 3:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon inside Owen J. Dougherty Field.
