MEN'S GOLF
September 25-26
at King Invitational – Golf Club of Bristol
With a pair of runner-up overall team finishes through the opening three tournaments of the fall, the IUP men's golf team takes part in the 36-hole King Invitational in Tennessee. Sophomore
Alex Swinnerton won medalist honors for the second time this fall last time out at the Davis & Elkins Dr. Wally Edgell Invitational.
Swinnerton carded a 54-hole score of -13 behind rounds of 70, 64 and 69, finishing one shot ahead of Charleston duo Rory Gorman and William Carestam.
Guillermo Salazar logged fourth overall on the individual leaderboard with a combined 11 under par and rounds of 66, 69 and 70. Full results/recaps will be posted to IUPAthletics.com as the information becomes available.

IUP field hockey is back home for a pair of home matchups this week, taking on Slippery Rock Tuesday (Sept. 26) and Kutztown on Saturday (Sept. 30). The Crimson Hawks scored a 2-1 overtime road win against seventh-ranked Millersville last time out on Sept. 23.
Sophomore
Jess Davidson scored both the IUP markers, including the overtime tally with under two minutes remaining in the extra session. Davidson has logged eight goals in six contests, entering the week fourth nationally in goals/game (1.20).

IUP women's soccer continues conference action with a pair of contests this week, including a home clash with California (Pa.) on September 27. The Crimson Hawks had mixed results last week, shutting out Seton Hill on the road before falling to Mercyhurst last weekend.
Senior
Hannah Scardina netted her team-high fourth goal of the season against the Griffins. Freshman
Maddy Orr also recorded her first collegiate tally, providing a young IUP lineup some insurance in the 2-0 victory, while
Vanessa Berlin logged her first shutout of the season. Freshman
Emma Hays is one of five IUP players with an assist this season.

Winners of seven consecutive matches, the IUP women's volleyball program opened PSAC West play with straight-set wins against Mercyhurst and California (Pa.). This week, IUP faces a challenging schedule at home against several regional powers in Clarion (12-2) and Wheeling (6-5). Additionally, Pitt-Johnstown has already matched its win total from last season, entering the week with a 10-2 mark.
IUP will be collecting items for the Food Pantry at both matches on Saturday.
Junior
Nyla Birch was one of several offensive standouts in the last two victories for IUP, logging 20 kills (3.33 k/s) and four block assists in a pair of conference wins. Senior
Stefania Anagnostou was also potent for IUP with 18 kills and 15 digs. As a team, IUP leads NCAA DII in total team blocks (149.0) and 13th nationally in total aces (113).
WOMEN'S TENNIS
September 30-October 1
IUP Invitational – Maple Street Courts
IUP hosts its lone event of the fall season with the two-day IUP Invitational, held from Maple Street courts on Sept. 30-Oct. 1. The Crimson Hawks will be back on the courts for the first time since the ITA Atlantic Regionals, which took place Sept. 14-17 at Bloomsburg.
With a new-look roster this season for the Crimson Hawks, the doubles pairing of pairing of junior
Ming Deewajee and junior
Dani Ramos advanced to the doubles final. Deewajee and Ramos lead the team with a 6-2 overall mark through two events.
M/W CROSS COUNTRY
Saturday, September 30
at Paul Short Run (Leigh) – 9:30 a.m. (M) – 11:45 a.m. (W)
After being idle last week, the IUP cross country teams return to the course for the Paul Short Run, hosted at Lehigh's Goodman Campus Cross Country Course on Sept. 30.
Typically one of the largest races on the east coast, the men's race begins at 9:30 a.m. with the women's race following around 11:45 a.m. Last time out, the IUP men finished four and the women eighth as a team at the RMU Colonia Invitational on Sept. 16.
For IUP, sophomore
Mike Formica was the top overall finisher in 10th overall in the 8K distance with a time of 24:53.83. On the women's side, freshman
Abby Douglas paced the Crimson Hawks in the 5K race with a 48th-place time of 20:05.21 at RMU.

Following a workmanlike 30-13 road victory at Mercyhurst, the IUP football program hits the road to battle 12th-ranked Slippery Rock this weekend for a 6:00 p.m. kickoff. A full comprehensive preview with game notes and other fan information will be posted to IUPAthletics.com later in the week.
