CALIFORNIA, Pa. – The IUP Crimson Hawks had a commanding performance against Cal U, securing a 3-0 victory with set scores of 25-12, 25-17, and 25-13. This win improves IUP's record to 12-6 overall and 2-2 in PSAC play, while Cal U falls to 3-11 and 0-5 in the conference.
IUP dominated in several statistical categories, boasting a significant 45-15 advantage in kills and a total points margin of 62-21. The Crimson Hawks showcased their offensive abilities with a hitting percentage of .250, while Cal U struggled to find their rhythm, ending the match with a hitting percentage of .000.
Notably, IUP's performance peaked in the second set, where they hit an impressive .344 with 17 kills.
Individually, Jessica led the team with 12 kills and added two blocks, while
Simay Memisoglu followed closely with 11 kills and two blocks of her own, hitting .321.
Charlotte Potvin posted eight kills and
Olivia Heidel had another big night racking in 37 assists. Leading the blocks for IUP was
Rylee Brown posting three on the night.
