LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -- Senior Makenna Yarrow was named the PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) Defensive Athlete of the Week, the league announced Monday. 

Yarrow's impressive defensive performance in goal this past week contributed to two victories, both resulting in shutouts.

She played the full 90 minutes against Clarion and Slippery Rock, making a total of 14 saves. On Wednesday, she successfully stopped all five shots attempted by Clarion, and on Saturday, she faced nine shots from Slippery Rock, saving each one, including six in the first half.

This achievement marks the second time Yarrow has been recognized as PSAC Defensive Athlete of the Week this season. Over the course of 11 games, she has allowed only five goals.

IUP hosts Pitt-Johnstown next Wednesday, October 23 at South Campus, starting at 3:00 p.m.
