INDIANA, Pa. – No. 22
IUP (9-1-3, 7-1-3) held possession over California (Pa.) (3-11-2, 2-9-1) to win 2-0 in today's matchup at South Campus Field.
IUP posted 15 shots throughout the matchup with seven being on goal. They held the Vulcans to just five shots total and two on goal.
Goalkeeper
Makenna Yarrow recorded two saves, achieving her ninth shutout of the season.
The Hawks' first goal came from
Ayla Ward at 28:28, as she placed a close shot between the goalie and the post.
Nearing the end of the second half,
Hannah Scardina found the net as well at 74:05 to put IUP up by two. Scardina was assisted by
Elle Smith who made a high pass allowing her to drill the ball in.
