Strong defensive showing from IUP women's soccer leads to scoreless game against No. 7 Gannon

Erie, Pa. - An incredible performance from both IUP and Gannon this afternoon left both teams scoreless after 90 minutes of play.

After today's matchup, IUP is now 5-1-2 overall and 4-1-2 in the PSAC, and seventh-ranked Gannon remains undefeated, improving their record to 6-0-3 overall and 4-0-3 in the PSAC.

Despite the 90 minutes of play, the Crimson Hawks were able to record just one shot on goal the entire game, placing that shot was sophomore Emily Lattea. The Gannon Knights offense had a huge advantage over the Hawks after posting 13 shots in the first half and 21 in the second, totaling 11 shots on goal.

IUP goalkeeper, senior Makenna Yarrow, recorded a high of 11 saves throughout today's contest.

Regardless of the score, IUP was able to pressure Gannon into committing 12 fouls and drew one player into earning a yellow card.
