INDIANA, Pa. – IUP wrapped up the 2024 season with a narrow 2-1 loss to No. 2 East Stroudsburg on Friday evening at Miller Stadium.
Prior to the game four seniors were recognized, being
Anita Planella,
Devon Johnson,
Cassie Romanczuk, and
Brooke Eberly.
IUP finished the season with an overall record of 6-10 and a conference record of 3-6.
Offensively, IUP struggled as East Stroudsburg maintained control for most of the match, taking 15 shots compared to IUP's two in the first half and none thereafter.
Goalie
Brooke Eberly made six saves, and the Hawks defense had a save as well. Romanczuk and
Jess Davidson each had a shot on goal, with Davidson scoring at 13:46, just before the end of the first quarter. East Stroudsburg struck first in the opening quarter at 3:26 and secured the win with a goal in overtime at 69:12.
