INDIANA, Pa. – IUP has four student-athletes set to compete in the 2024 NCAA DII Swimming & Diving Championships this week at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio. The championships run March 12-16.
Among those competing are swimmers

Kasha Stokes and
Athanasios Diamantidis.
Jeremiah Laslavic is representing the IUP diving team. All five days of championship action will be streamed live on NCAA.com.

NEWS AND NOTES
- The bulk of the action for IUP occurs on Friday (March 15). All three IUP swimmers are set to compete in the prelims, beginning at 10 a.m.
- The top 16 swimmers in the prelims advance to the evening finals session.
- Stokes has put together an outstanding debut campaign for IUP, qualifying for both the 100 back and 200 back as the lone Crimson Hawk to earn a bid in multiple events. Stokes' entry times are 55.34 in the 100 back and 1:59.84 in the 200 back.
- Mikesell was named the PSAC Men's Most Outstanding Swimmer at the conference championship in February, making his second nationals appearance after earning All-American recognition in the 500 free at the 2021 NCAA Championships.
- Mikesell is seeded 10th in the 500 free (4:24.65).
- Diamantidis earned All-American honors in the 200 breast last season, finishing 12th at the 2023 NCAA Championships.
- Diamantidis is seeded eighth in the 200 breast (1:57.37) this season.
