ERIE, Pa. – The IUP women's tennis team won five of six singles flights in a 5-2 victory against Mercyhurst in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) play on Saturday afternoon.
IUP moves to 5-8 on the season and 2-0 in conference play. Mercyhurst slips to 11-4 and 1-1 in the league.
Mercyhurst claimed the doubles point for an early 1-0 advantage.

Hannah Beitat won their flight at No. 3 doubles with a 6-3 triumph against Kiersten Brown/Valentine Budin.
The Hawks went on to win five matches in singles play.
Lina Teleshun got it started with a resounding 6-0, 6-0 in at No. 6 singles.
Beitat recorded her second victory of the afternoon with a 6-4, 6-0 triumph in singles play.
Lydia Vlachou notched the 56th singles victory of her career with a 6-3, 7-5 decision at No. 4 singles.
Katy Graydon won a second set tiebreaker (7-4) for a hard-earned 6-2, 7-6 win against Daria Rogova. It marks the 61st career singles victory for Graydon.
Dani Ramos rallied for a three-set victory in scores of 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 at No. 2 singles.
Ming Deewajee fell to Kayla Dean by scores of 6-2, 7-6.
