IUP women's soccer offense powers to a 2-0 victory over Seton Hill

INDIANA Pa. -- The IUP (3-0-1, 4-0-1 PSAC) women's soccer team secured a 2-0 victory over Seton Hill (1-1-2, 3-1-3 PSAC), this gray afternoon at South Campus Field.

The Crimson Hawks displayed offensive dominance with standout performances from several players including two goals scored by key forwards Kristen Finnerty and Hannah Scardina

Straight to it, Finnerty showed dominance early on in the match-up, finding the net after two minutes of play. She was assisted by Elle Smith.  She recorded four shots and two shots on goal. Hannah Scardina, another key forward scored in the 30th minute to the top right, posting five shots and one on goal. Scardina is no stranger to the back of the net after making this her third goal in just two games.

IUP's strong defense and effective midfield play limited Seton Hill to only six shots and two on goal, both were saved by Makenna Yarrow who played all 90 minutes. IUP totaled 18 shots, eight on goal.

With this win the Crimson Hawks climb the ladder to second place in the PSAC West Division.
