INDIANA, Pa. — East Stroudsburg University secured a 2-1 victory over Indiana University of Pennsylvania in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) field hockey game Saturday evening at George P. Miller Stadium.
IUP scored the first goal of the gme int he first quarter as Sydney Schmouder scored a tip-in goal off of a Jess Davidson assist.. East Stroudsburg broke through in the fourth quarter, scroing two goals, as the game winner came off the stick of Alex Eagles in the 54th minute.
With the loss, IUP's season record stands at 5-6 overall and 2-4 in PSAC play. The Crimson Hawks will look to rebound in their next match against Bloomsburg University on October 25 at home.
East Stroudsburg improved to 13-2 overall and 4-2 in the conference with the win.
