INDIANA, Pa. — Indiana University of Pennsylvania dominated the women's side and collected several standout individual efforts Saturday in a dual meet against Gannon at Zink Hall Pool. The Crimson Hawk women rolled to a 209-71 victory, while the men fell 174-120.
IUP's depth showed early with a 1-3 finish in the women's 200-yard medley relay, highlighted by the A team of Kasha Stokes, Tina Cudina, Gem Crittenden and Kaleese Jallow touching in 1 minute, 45.62 seconds.
Stokes added two individual wins, claiming the 100 backstroke in 57.58 and the 200 backstroke in 2:07.56. Cudina also picked up multiple victories, winning the 100 freestyle in 52.58 and leading off IUP's victorious 200 freestyle relay (1:38.80).
Crittenden swept the butterfly events with a 2:05.35 in the 200 fly and a 57.11 in the 100 fly before adding a win in the 200 IM. Jallow tied for first in the 50 freestyle at 24.44.
Distance standout Benedetta Bellini controlled both the 1000 and 500 freestyles with times of 11:03.55 and 5:18.83.
On the boards, Torri Zanella swept both women's diving events with wins in the 1- and 3-meter competitions.
For the IUP men, Ty Uhlig put together a strong meet — winning the 1000 free in 9:56.84 and the 500 free in 4:51.65, both PSAC-qualifying times. Stephen Goff touched first in the 100 freestyle at 47.96 and helped the Crimson Hawks finish second in the 200 free relay, less than a second behind Gannon.
Jeremiah Laslavic swept the men's diving events, taking the 1-meter (240.20) and 3-meter (289.95).
