JOHNSTOWN, Pa. — The Indiana University of Pennsylvania Women's Soccer shut out Pitt‑Johnstown by a 2‑0 margin on Wednesday. With the win, IUP improved to 12‑2‑2 overall and 10‑1‑1 in conference play, while Pitt‑Johnstown dropped to 2‑8‑4 overall and 2‑8‑2 in the PSAC.
The Crimson Hawks broke the deadlock late in the second half, when Emily Lattea scored at 76:06, assisted by Elle Smith. She struck again at 79:25, once more with Smith picking up the assist.
IUP outshot the Mountain Cats 18–4 (12 shots on goal to 3). Indiana's goalkeeper tandem of Sarah Gatz and Serayah Leech combined for a flawless day, allowing zero goals while making three saves. Pitt‑Johnstown's Emma Morin turned aside 10 shots, but the Mountain Cats couldn't find the back of the net.
The Hawks also held a 6–2 edge in corner kicks and committed 11 fouls to Pitt‑Johnstown's seven.
IUP's possession and pressure on Pitt‑Johnstown paid dividends late, and the two‑goal surge in the final 15 minutes sealed the win.
