ERIE, Pa. — Gannon swept Indiana University of Pennsylvania in straight sets Friday night, earning a 25-17, 25-21, 25-20 victory at Highmark Events Center.
The Golden Knights improved to 10-4 overall and 2-0 in the PSAC, while the Crimson Hawks dropped to 10-4 and 2-2 in conference play.
IUP kept pace in the early stages, particularly in the second set, but Gannon's strong serving and late rallies proved decisive. The Knights finished with nine service aces compared to four for the Crimson Hawks.
Delaney Concannon paced IUP with 14 kills and 11 digs, while Jessica Neiman added 13 kills. The Crimson Hawks tallied 42 digs on the night but struggled to slow Gannon's attack.
IUP will look to rebound in its next conference matchup against Edinboro on Saturday.
