INDIANA, Pa. — The Indiana University of Pennsylvania women's volleyball team dropped a 25‑18, 25‑15, 25‑12 decision to the Gannon Golden Knights on Saturday, falling to 16‑6 overall and 8‑4 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference play.
IUP struggled to find consistency against the unbeaten Golden Knights. Senior libero Brooke Kessler led the Crimson Hawks with 18 digs, while setter Ellie Rauch added 25 assists. Despite strong defensive efforts, IUP was held to a .109 hitting percentage and managed only one block and one ace.
Gannon jumped out to an early lead in the first set and never relinquished control. The Crimson Hawks were competitive early but could not keep pace in the second and third sets as Gannon's offense dominated at the net.
The Crimson Hawks will look to regroup and get back on the road, as IUP will play heir final four PSAC matches away from Indiana.
