CALIFORNIA, Pa. — Indiana (Pa.) defeated California (Pa.) 3–1 on Friday night in PSAC women's volleyball, taking the match by scores of 25–21, 25–21, 21–25 and 25–22.
Delaney Concannon powered the Crimson Hawks with a match-high 27 kills and one ace. Setter Ellie Rauch directed the offense with 61 assists.
IUP hit .232 in the opening set and held Cal U to .191 to grab early momentum. The Crimson Hawks followed with 16 kills in the second set to extend their lead.
Cal U responded in the third, hitting .263 with 15 kills to stay alive. IUP regained control in the fourth, closing out the match with 15 kills while holding the Vulcans to a .025 hitting percentage.
The Crimson Hawks finished with 68 kills and a .183 attack percentage, compared with 38 kills and a .103 mark for Cal U. IUP also led in digs 93–80.
Cal U's Lindsey Scammell recorded eight blocks and five kills to pace the Vulcans.
IUP improved to 18–7 overall and 10–5 in the PSAC, while Cal U dropped to 19–10 and 6–7 in league play.
