INDIANA, Pa. – Indiana (Pa.) put together a dominant offensive performance Tuesday night, rolling past Mansfield 111-71 in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference men's basketball game at the Kovalchick Convention & Athletic Complex.
The Crimson Hawks (6-1, 1-0 PSAC) scored 54 points in the first half and added 57 more after the break, shooting 52.5% from the field and knocking down 12 3-pointers. IUP also forced 20 turnovers and turned them into 26 points.
Christian Moore led IUP with 17 points, hitting four shots from beyond the arc, while Dallis Dillard finished with 19 points, nine rebounds and three assists. Ian Herring added 16 points off the bench, and Damir Brooks chipped in 13 points and seven rebounds. Luke Triggs scored nine points in just 12 minutes, and Sarp Furtun added 10 points for the Crimson Hawks.
IUP held a 45-38 rebounding advantage and outscored Mansfield 52-40 in the paint. The Crimson Hawks also received 39 points from their bench.
Mansfield (1-7, 0-2 PSAC) was led by Sterling Scott, who scored 14 points. Nasir Brown added 13 points, and LaQuan Byrd finished with 10 for the Mountaineers, who shot 46.7% from the field but struggled to keep pace defensively.
Indiana (Pa.) opened the game on a 15-5 run and never trailed, taking a 54-38 lead into halftime before pulling away early in the second half.
