BLOOMSBURG, Pa. — The Indiana University of Pennsylvania women's basketball team remained unbeaten Saturday afternoon with a 63-46 victory over Bloomsburg at Nelson Field House.
IUP (9-0, 3-0 PSAC) used a strong second quarter to seize control and never trailed in the second half. The Crimson Hawks outscored the Huskies 20-12 in the period to take a 33-17 halftime lead.
Teresa Maggio led all scorers with 19 points, shooting 6-for-9 from the field, including three 3-pointers, and going a perfect 4-for-4 from the free-throw line. Belle Bosch added 11 points, while Nyshae' Weaver recorded nine points and a game-high 13 rebounds.
Indiana shot 51.1% from the field and held Bloomsburg to 28.6% shooting. The Crimson Hawks also forced 23 turnovers and held a 37-27 advantage on the glass.
Bloomsburg (5-3, 1-2 PSAC) was led by Maddie LaFrance, who finished with 13 points. The Huskies struggled from long range, connecting on just 4 of 20 attempts from beyond the arc.
IUP maintained its double-digit advantage throughout the second half, extending the lead to as many as 21 points en route to the conference road win.
