IUP tops East Stroudsburg in four sets to advance in Atlantic Region

ERIE, Pa. — Indiana (Pa.) rode a balanced attack and a dominant third set to defeat East Stroudsburg 3–1 on Friday at the NCAA Atlantic Regional at the Highmark Events Center.

IUP won by scores of 25–18, 21–25, 25–20 and 29–27, improving to 22–8 overall and clinching a spot in the regional finals. East Stroudsburg ended its season at 27–6.

Delaney Concannon led the Crimson Hawks with 23 kills and 22 digs, while Charlotte Potvin added 14 kills and hit .323. Jessica Neiman posted 15 kills, and setter Ellie Rauch paced the offense with 56 assists and nine digs.

IUP finished with 71 kills and hit .232 as a team, topping ESU in both kills and digs (83–71). The Hawks also delivered nine aces, including four in the third set to help regain control of the match.

East Stroudsburg was led by All-Region middle Anna Coulter, who had 18 kills and six blocks. Kelly Crites added 13 kills and 16 digs, and setter Kyra Bishop tallied 37 assists.

The Warriors came alive in the second set, capitalizing on IUP's service errors and late attack miscues to even the match 1–1. But IUP responded by racing out to a 5–0 lead in the third and never trailed.

The fourth set featured eight ties and multiple lead changes. IUP held a 24–18 advantage before ESU stormed back to tie it 24–24. The teams traded points deep into extra volleyball until Rauch's service ace pushed IUP ahead 28–27, and Neiman closed it out with the final kill.
