INDIANA, Pa. -- Despite an early first-quarter lead and a five-goal performance from Emme Mass, IUP was unable to hold off Millersvile in the final minutes, falling, 10-9.

Emme Mass led IUP with five goals, including two in the first quarter. She opened the scoring at 10:58, followed by Macenzie Haragos at 7:18. Mass struck again at 4:45, giving IUP a 3-0 lead after the first quarter.

In the second, Millersville found the net early on to put themselves on the board. Around the six minute mark, Mass added another goal followed by Kathryn Burke at 4:48, extending IUP's lead to 5-1.

The Marauders answered with three consecutive goals before Mass broke their streak with a goal at 8:22 in the third quarter. However, Millersville netted three more late in the period.

In the fourth quarter, both teams scored three times. Brenna Whiteside tied the game at 7-7 with a goal at 13:20, but Millersville regained the lead a minute later. Mass notched her final goal at 10:38, and Maggie Boyle converted a free position attempt at 8:01 to bring the game level at 9-9. Millersville found the net at 1:26 to take the win.
